Over the years, we have focused on building trust with our shoppers, employees, suppliers and stakeholders, to create a company that is people-centric, ambitious, and results-oriented.
Our steady growth is a testament to our success and we’re excited about the future, constantly seeking new ways to re-invest back into the company.
Whether its our enterprising expansion plan through our growing portfolio of brands or the implementation of new technology and facilities, such as our new Central Distribution Centre, our sole aim is to enhance our customers’ experience.
David joined the BMA International Group in 2013 as COO for REDTAG – BMA International’s flagship fashion brand. David’s role encompasses both the strategic implementation and day-to-day management of the business.
A graduate from the University of Manchester in the United Kingdom, his career in retail has spanned over 30 years, during which time he has worked for some of the biggest retail names in the industry. His early career was spent working with well-known high-street names including Debenhams, Sears, Matalan, and House of Fraser. He then joined the board of the Peacock Group Plc as Managing Director of Bonmarché, with subsequent roles including Managing Director of Select, and Chief Executive of QS Group. His most recent position before joining REDTAG was as Managing Director of the global franchise company, Alshaya (UK).
David continues to focus on delivering the ambitious expansion plans of the brand, as REDTAG looks to strengthen its position in the MENA region with the development and execution of their exciting franchise model.
Tarique has always been passionate about the fashion industry. Ever since he was a child, he describes himself as being creative and a little bit of dreamer, inspired by the world of style. Celebrating his 20-year anniversary with BMA in 2016, his career has seen him grow from a management trainee in 1996 to leading one of the region’s fastest growing retail fashion brands, twenty4 Fashion.
With Twenty4 Fashion showcasing 57 stores and more in the pipeline, it’s his entrepreneurial spirit and his results-oriented approach that have helped Tarique succeed in the competitive environment of fashion, commenting:
“It’s all about partnership, whether that’s internal or external. You have to learn quickly, and sometimes unlearn even faster! I am also a strong believer in talent recognition. Surrounding yourself with people who are smarter than you in their areas of expertise and empowering them to get on with what they do best is the secret to a successful team. We all have the ability to succeed, irrespective of where we sit in the hierarchy.”
